She describes the voyage from New York to France, with some notes on their journey via Paris and Cologne to Spain; travel in Spain, including a lengthy description of a bullfight in Madrid; travel in Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria, with a long stay in Biskra, including descriptions of Jewish and Arab weddings there; then briefer entries describing travel in Italy and the French Riviera. There are references to both her and her husband painting on the journey, and some of her descriptions have a strong visual quality, with notes on colors of Arab costumes, etc.
